Zambia

Overview

Zambia a country who’s most well known land mark is the mighty Victoria Falls, an enormous country with massive potential and vast tracks of land with a relatively sparse population that allows for wildlife to flourish in a pristine environment...

Victoria Falls is one the most famous waterfalls in the world and attracts many with its smoke that thunders. The most dramatic views of the falls are to be found during the rainy season (March – May) when the mighty Zambezi River dropping into the massive gorge 350 feet below is at its widest and wildest.

However even in the dry season these falls are truly magnificent and you may then get the opportunity to swim in the devils pool, right on the edge of the falls.

This country also has the Luanga river valley, an area with the highest density of Leopards in the world. Another truly amazing site to behold is the local people selling edible mushrooms that are so large they double up as umbrellas. Zambia is perhaps my favourite Country in Africa; I think it’s just the sheer wildness and wierdness of the place that truly captured my heart.
