Skeleton Coast National Park
The Skeleton Coast National Park stretches from the Kunene River in the North for roughly 500 kilometres to the Ugab River in the South and covers about one third of Namibia’s coastline. The coast is lined with scores of famous shipwrecks and with it the stories of the sailors walking for hundreds of kilometres through the Namibian landscape in search of food and water.
In spite of its parched appearance, the Skeleton Coast hosts a number of species including lion, cheetah, giraffe, zebra, spotted and brown hyena, springbok and black rhino.
